After a long day I am ready for bed. I don't know how I can be so tired from just hanging out all day but I am. I woke up this morning to the ring of my phone letting me know that Em had emailed me. So I literally rolled out of bed and went to my computer to skype her. It was about 1:30 pm in the afternoon there and 7:30 am here. It was neat though because Dad had his first experience with talking to Em on the computer.
The rest of the day was filled with more people in and out of the house, tours, and putting things away. I know that everything has to get done and takes time but I wanted to go to the lake. To fill the time before we could go to the lake and before the table arrived, Brid and I went to get waverunner batteries. It was nice to spend time with her. It is quite funny that both of us went together. I think that neither one of us are the best drivers, I will be the first person to tell you that I very much dislike driving. However, what I do love driving is the boat or the waverunner. There is something about being on the water that I can't get enough of. Today I got the waverunner ready and played around with it. This afternoon was a good time to go out because I don't think this weekend I will use it much. During the big weekends like Memorial Day, Labor Day, and 4th of July there are just too many boats where out dock it. It isn't as enjoyable when you are constantly looking to see where boats are so you don't get run over and the waves make it very choppy. This also messes up all the big waves so you can't really jump them very easily. Those weekends are good for doing the donuts and small spins around the dock. I was surprised that there weren't more boats on the lake today. There was one big boat that came but not much else. I think there must have been a fishing tourney because there were fisherman out on all the points and in the coves. The weather was perfect for the water and being on the dock. Bridget, the dog, was warn out from playing in the water and fetching the ball. She is an endless source of energy and I have never seen a dog want to play fetch so bad. If she wasn't fetching the toy then she was at your feet trying to get you to throw it. At one point I was lying on the dock reading and Bridget (the dog) came over to share my towel, uninvited. She rolled over on her back and just got some sun. I bet we looked pretty funny sharing a towel. Once the sun started to go down the lake was vacant and Ad, Mom, Brid, and I played the card game rummy. I am not a viscously competitive person but got really excited when I won the game. I won by about 100 pts too! It was just a stroke of luck that I was able to enjoy for that moment. The moment ended when it was time to go up to the house for dinner. Then my excitement game back once I realized we were having BBQ chicken legs for dinner on the grill. I think that is one of my favorite meals of all time. There is just something about those carcinogens, BBQ, and chicken that I can't get enough of. Now it is time for bed and I think I will s
